NEET 2020, the only entrance test for admission to MBBS courses in India, has been postponed by NTA. The new dates for the examination will be announced after April 15.
NEET 2020 will be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). NEET is conducted every year for admission to the first year of MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses in India. All those who wish to take admission into the first year of MBBS or BDS were required to register for the NTA NEET 2020. The registration for NEET 2020 closed on January 6.
NEET 2020 has been postponed by the National Testing Agency, as directed by the HRD Minister. The revised dates for the examination and release of NEET 2020 admit card will be announced after April 15. NEET 2020 admit card was to be uploaded on the official website on March 27 but has been deferred until the announcement of new exam dates. Candidates whose applications were accepted will be issued the admit card. Candidates will be able to find all the information related to their exam centre on the NEET 2020 admit card. Who is Eligible for NTA NEET 2020?
The eligibility criteria for NEET 2020 are summarized below. Candidates can go through the NEET eligibility criteria to ascertain their eligibility for the same
- Candidate must have completed 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized institute
- The minimum aggregate required in the qualifying examination is 50% for those belonging to the general category
- Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need a minimum aggregate of 40% and those belonging to the OBC category need at least 45% in the qualifying examination
- There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for NTA NEET 2020, however, the minimum age required to appear for the examination is 17 years
